Installing OpenSim in Ubuntu 20.04

To install OpenSim 0.9.1.x you could still use xbuild, but this failed when I tried it with so I needed to use msbuild. However, this was not available for Ubuntu 20.04, so I found these instructions and did the following:

sudo apt install gnupg ca-certificates
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp:// --recv-keys 3FA7E0328081BFF6A14DA29AA6A19B38D3D831EF
echo "deb stable-bionic main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mono-official-stable.list
sudo apt update

I already had mono-complete installed. I tried sudo apt install mono-complete –dry-run and sudo apt install mono-roslyn –dry-run (as the instructions suggested using mono-roslyn) but both were already installed so no change was required.

This enabled me to compile OpenSim from source.
